Nu am rezistat tentatiei de a intra ceva mai tare in acesti domni de la Stanwell, desi ma hotarasem sa nu fortez mai mult, insa un impuls de moment m-a facut sa incerc sa-i "sensibilizez" si iata rezultatul :

If is very hard to determine the problem based on the photographs I can send you the pipe in order to analyze the origin of the damage. But I think that you don’t want this to happed because of the following reasons
If you tell me that this damage is because of the cleaning process I can tell you that it is an answer that doesn’t come from an employer of one of the bigest pipe producer, as Stanwell. Is obvious even for a beginner that this damage is from the briar block. Faire from your side would have been to tell me that the after sales client service doesn’t allow you to accept damages from the briar blocks !
As far as concerning your suggestion for repairing I want to tell you just for your information that we know how to solve a damage made by time and usage, but the purpose of my email wasn’t to find out how to make service for a pipe, It was about informing you that I am using a Stanwell product witch has a damage of briar block witch passed the quality control. …. I wonder if you have one?!
Anyway I will put the pictures with my pipe – Stanwell Diplomat 183 - and I will attach the conversation between us on every sites and forums related with the pipe smokers. Maybe like this we find more opinions about our points of view regarding this issue

As I said it is hard, based on the photographs to determine the exact cause of the problem.
Usually quality/warranty complaints are handled locally in a collaboration between the retailer and distributor in our different export markets. The market distributor will analyze the damage and if it is a quality related problem they will offer you a new pipe – from where in the world are you writing? - This is done to save time and freight costs for you as a customer.
We take these types of problems seriously and will therefore never draw conclusions based on pictures.
If you are unable, or do not want to pass on your complaint locally, I suggest you send it directly to our Head Office and I will personally hand it over to our quality control department for their analysis.
